MIP Fitness Facility & Wellness Services
McMaster Innovation Park is excited to provide an economical and convenient onsite option to improve health and wellness within the workplace. In partnership with Mohawk College, The MIP Fitness Facility offers a quality fitness experience that is sure to enhance the health, wellness and fitness of all working at MIP, and with in the community at large.
This partnership has lead to the creation of a "Living Lab" concept for students of the Health, Wellness & Fitness Program, while at the same time fostering a health community for those employed at MIP. Members are engaged by knowledgable, experienced, and enthusiastic staff that are eager to help everyone reach their health and fitness goals. In 2013 the student team will be lead by Mark Filice, a coop student from Mohawk College.

Fitness Consultants and Certified Personal Trainers are available, courtesy of Mohawk College's Health, Wellness & Fitness Program, to complete fitness assessments and training sessions by appointment, throughout the work day and after hours. Members can also sign-up for an energizing hour of challenging exercise in a group atmosphere with one of the available fitness classes.
Looking for a little more support? Throughout the year healthy lifestyle, physical activity and weight management support clubs will be lead by the Mohawk Team. Lifestyle clubs are great opportunities to learn more, be proactive about ones health, and get support from peers and professionals. Look for monthly promotions or contact the MIP Administrative Office for more information.
Looking to improve your eating habits? Book a nutrition consultation today. Consultations include a current diet assessment and on-going coaching pertaining to goal setting, healthy eating patterns, meal planning, behavior change and regular weight assessments. Initial consultations are 60 minutues in length.
Regular health assessments are also a critical part of being proactive towards your health and well-being. Look for special screening clinics throughout the year, or book a private individual health screeing appointment at your convenience.
