MIP PARTNERS WITH CENE TO HELP BRING HAMILTON LIFE SCIENCES TO THE GLOBAL STAGE
McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) and The Canadian Entrepreneurs in New England (CENE) are pleased to announce that they have entered into a collaboration agreement. The “True North Partnership” will provide MIP-based companies a direct conduit to the leadership, expertise, and capital within Boston’s life science ecosystem, and increase the Boston area’s awareness of Hamilton’s growing research and innovation prowess.
Vinit Nijhawan, Interim Executive Director of The Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center and CENE board member offered, “CENE is thrilled about our partnership with MIP. Our mission is to help Canadian businesses perform on the global stage and Boston’s ecosystem is a learnable model that can enhance Hamilton’s economic development.”
Ty J. Shattuck, Chief Executive Officer of MIP, commented that “MIP’s philosophy is to partner with the best in the world, and this agreement is precisely that – a mechanism to connect and collaborate with a world-renowned ecosystem with proven expertise in transforming research into impactful commercial realities.”
As part of the agreement, MIP will be supporting CENE’s 2019 Catalyst Forum this coming fall. The Forum’s goal is to foster Canada’s most promising life sciences companies by providing them direct access to investors who are specifically interested in helping Canadian companies grow and scale. Attendees will participate in executive-level mentoring sessions, immersive panels, and engaging keynote addresses discussing major challenges facing companies today.
